Serving Our Neighbors in Need: Urbandale Food Pantry
The Urbandale Food Pantry is a collaborative, community effort to reach out to our neighbors and
provide food assistance with dignity and compassion. For over a decade we’ve been serving our
neighbors in need. Get involved at the Pantry and give back to your community.
Currently, our most needed items are; cereal, peanut butter, pasta sauce, canned fruit, hearty soups and holiday sides like stuffing and mash potatoes, and personal care items like baby wipes, toothpaste, and shampoo.
Support Those in Need of Food in the Des Moines Metro
Even as the second largest agricultural state in the country, 1 in 9 Iowans are faced with
food insecurity. That translates to about a half-million people who don’t know where they
will find their next meal. Fundamental human needs shouldn’t come at the cost of deciding
whether to pay the bills or go without dinner. Through our dedicated volunteers and gracious
donors, the Urbandale Food Pantry is able to serve as a reliable source for healthy,
nutritious food and personal care items for families and individuals.
